Daines was joined by members of his Veteran Affairs team at the Montana VA Equine Therapy Center to learn more about the program and its work to help veterans with service-related illness.
The Montana VA Equine Therapy Center is the only center of its kind in the country fully leased and operated by the Montana VA. The center specializes in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) which incorporates horses experientially for mental, physical and behavioral health therapy and personal development and is used to help treat Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), substance abuse, depression, anxiety and service-related injury like Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
Daines employs nine veterans on his staff, dedicated to ensuring that Montana veterans receive the care and access to the benefits that they deserve.
