Daines Condemns Transfer of 15 Guantanamo Detainees

U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senator Steve Daines announced that the coal scoping meeting he hosted in Billings generated 68 comments to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) for their review of the federal coal program. (Montana)-Senators Steve Daines and Jon Tester are continuing their efforts to increase timber production in Montana and ensure local lumber mills are being treated fairly. In a letter to U.S. Trade Ambassador Michael Froman, Tester and Daines pushed for a new Softwood Lumber Agreement with Canada.
