WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Steve Daines today invited Montana students to apply for summer internships with his Washington, D.C. office and state offices in Great Falls, Missoula, Helena, Bozeman and Billings.
“Internships offer Montana students a unique opportunity to gain valuable work experience and insight into the legislative process,” Daines stated. “I look forward to welcoming Montana’s young leaders to our Washington, D.C. and Montana offices and working with them to make our state and nation better.”
Interested individuals should be current or former college students possessing a strong interest in the legislative process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, researching policy initiatives, assisting staff in drafting correspondence, fielding phone calls from constituents, and conducting tours of the U.S. Capitol building. Interns play a vital role in the operation of Daines’ office and are provided a unique window into the federal legislative process as well as the inner workings of a Senate office.
Interested applicants should send a resume and cover letter to Amber_Heinz@daines.senate.gov and specify their desired office location. Applications are also available on Daines’ website at http://www.daines.senate.gov/content/internships. All applications must be received by March 16, 2015.
