Daines, Tester Congratulate Bekah Joy on U.S. Air Force Academy Appointment

U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senators Steve Daines and Jon Tester today congratulated Sentinel High School student Bekah Joy on her appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy. 

Joy was nominated to the U.S. Air Force Academy by Daines and Tester, they both called to congratulate her.  

Joy is the goalkeeper on her high school varsity soccer team and she is a recruited soccer goalie in the national premier league “Elite Club National League.” Joy is also Key Club Treasurer and is involved in organizing middle school tutoring, Youth Track Club, a blood drive, among other events.

“Bekah exemplifies the best of our state’s commitment to service,” Daines stated. “I am thrilled to congratulate Bekah on her accomplishments in high school and look forward to her leadership in the military.” 

“What an exciting day for Bekah, her family and the state of Montana,” Tester said. “When Bekah applied for a nomination she said she wanted a chance to serve her country, and I’m proud to say that today she is getting that chance.  On behalf of all Montanans, I want to say how proud we are of her commitment and service.” 

The U.S. Air Force Academy is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
