U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm President Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury, Steven Mnuchin.
“As Treasury Secretary, Steven Mnuchin will challenge the status quo to implement a bold pro-growth, pro-jobs agenda,” Daines stated. “I’m excited to see his ideas become reality to create more good-paying American jobs.”
Immediately following Mnuchin’s confirmation, Daines extended a “formal invitation to visit Montana and see firsthand the ingenuity of the state’s business community.” Daines’ letter is available to download HERE.
On January 11, Daines met with Mnuchin in his Washington, D.C. office where they discussed ways to rein in Washington, D.C. out of control spending that has been the hallmark of President Obama’s tax and spend agenda.
