U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after voting in support of the Fiscal Year 2018 Budget Resolution – paving the way for tax reform.
“Tax reform is the single most important piece of legislation that we can pass this Congress,” Daines stated. “This is exactly what the economy needs right now to keep growing and create more good-paying jobs. We must get this done – we need to put on our American jerseys and do this for the people who elected us. If we don’t get this done, frankly they should send us all home.”
Earlier today, Daines announced that he is launching an opportunity for Montanans to share what a lower, simplified tax code means for them. The last time the tax code was updated was over 30 years ago.
