U.S. SENATE— U.S. Senator Steve Daines today requested a meeting with President Joe Biden to discuss the crippling actions he has taken against Montana energy jobs, Montana families, and the Montana way of life. Daines was joined by over 20 western senators in the request to Biden.

Daines was joined by Senators Sullivan (Alaska), Barrasso (Wyo.), Blackburn (Tenn.), Moore Capito (W.Va.), Cassidy (La.), Cornyn (Texas), Cotton (Ark.), Cramer (N.D.), Cruz (Texas), Grassley (Iowa), Hagerty (Tenn.), Hoeven (N.D.), Inhofe (Okla.), Johnson (Wis.), Kennedy (La.), Lankford (Okla.), Lummis (Wyo.), Marshall (Kan.), McConnell (Ky.), Murkowski (Alaska), Portman (Ohio), Risch (Idaho), Toomey (Pa.), Tuberville (Ala.), and Wicker (Miss.).

Background:
Earlier today, the Senator announced he will be introducing legislation that will reverse President Biden’s freeze on oil, gas and coal leases on federal lands.
Last week, Senator Daines announced he will be introducing legislation to authorize the continued construction of the Keystone XL pipeline.
The Senator also announced plans to introduce a Senate resolution calling on President Biden to submit the Paris Climate Agreement to the U.S. Senate for advice and consent.
