U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced funding for the Montana Family Medical Residency to help train family medicine doctors to practice in rural and underserved areas in Montana. These funds will be used to train two additional family medicine residents in each year of training, for a total of six residents once the program is fully operational.
“I’m glad to see the Montana Family Medical Residency receive these resources to expand residency training, which is critical to address current and future gaps in the healthcare workforce, and help Montanans in rural and underserved areas have greater access to quality medical care,” Daines said.
In September 2021, Daines wrote a letter of support for this program funding. Click HERE to read it.
