Daines Holds Videocall with Montana Farmers Volunteering in Israel

“Whether it’s helping a neighbor in need down the road, across the country or in this case halfway around the world, Montanans step up.”

U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today held a videocall with three Montana farmers who are in Israel assisting Israeli farmers who are called into military service amidst the country’s war with the Islamic terrorist organization Hamas. John Plocher of Hamilton, Montana, and Ezekiel and Yosef Strain of Augusta, Montana, went to Israel through the HaYovel volunteer organization and are in the Judea and Samaria region. The Montana farmers are helping on Israeli farms since many Israeli farmers are being called into reserve positions in the nation’s military and are helping with construction projects, harvesting crops and distributing supplies to Jewish communities

“It was a privilege and honor to thank John, Ezekiel and Yosef for helping Israeli families in their time of need. They are showing the world why Montana is so special. Whether it’s helping a neighbor in need down the road, across the country or in this case halfway around the world, Montanans step up. John, Ezekiel and Yosef are making Montana proud. Together we are showing the country and the world that Montana stands with Israel,” Daines said.
