U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today joined his colleagues in announcing they will introduce and seek unanimous consent to pass legislation to block Iran from accessing the $6 billion in funds that the Biden administration released in August. This follows the terrorist attacks against Israel committed by Iranian-backed Hamas.
“Just weeks ago, the Biden administration paid out $6 billion to Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism. This week, we have witnessed horrific attacks on Israeli people by the Iranian-backed terrorist group Hamas. The United States needs to lead by example, sanction this dangerous regime and immediately freeze Iranian assets,” Daines said.
