U.S. SENATE – With skyrocketing inflation breaking the bank for Montana families, U.S. Senator Steve Daines announced today he is launching a video series chronicling how inflation is impacting Montanans. Each week Daines will highlight a video of a Montanan talking about how President Biden’s economic policies affect them personally to be featured on his social media channels.
“Montanans from all walks of life are affected by the disastrous economic policies put in place by the Biden administration,” said Daines. “From college students to seniors, no one is immune to the pressure inflation creates on everyday incomes. And while Biden and Senate Democrats try to wish their inflation crisis away, Montana families are struggling to make ends meet and keep up with the sky-high prices of everything from gas to groceries. The best way to understand the effects of the Democrats’ reckless spending is to ask Montanans how it’s affecting them personally, which is exactly what I’m doing.”
According to the Department of Commerce’s Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) price index, inflation surged in January, indicating that high prices are not cooling down. The PCE is the Federal Reserve’s preferred inflation measure.
This week, Senator Daines is sharing Bill Snoddy’s experience with the crushing inflation that has affected “all facets of life,” from buying groceries to visiting his grandkids.
