Daines Slams Google for Continued Censorship of Conservative Views Following APP Ban

U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today slammed Google for the unjust censorship of the American Principles Project (APP) YouTube account and demanded answers on how the decision to censor another conservative group was made.

“This is the second letter that I have written regarding Google’s practices of removing conservative or pro-life content and have yet to receive sufficient answers to how the affected content violates your Community Guidelines. It is of paramount importance that Google addresses the concerns of so many in regard to the removal of content that does not violate any terms and conditions, but appears to be discrimination against viewpoints different than its own. I am asking that Google reinstate American Principles Project’s YouTube channel in full, explain the reasoning behind the suspension, and implement policies to ensure similar actions do not occur in the future,” the letter states.

Background:

Recently, Google has come under fire for censoring conservative organizations while allowing their liberal counterparts to remain on their platform.

Last month, Daines led a group of senators to demand answers from the CEO of Google, Mr. Sundar Pichai, on Google’s double standard in censoring pro-life Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) advertisements while continuing to allow advertisements for deadly abortion pills.
