U.S. SENATE– U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that $4,110,152 will be directed towards strengthening Montana’s air travel infrastructure at Conrad, Geraldine, Billings, Lewistown, Stevensville, Sher-Wood, Twin Bridges, Dawson, Ravalli, Missoula, and Big Horn airports.
“Having the necessary resources to support our air infrastructure is vital to Montana jobs,” Daines said. “These grants will strengthen our tourism industry and improve access for folks from all across the country to come to Big Sky Country.”
The funding is part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) under the Department of Transportation. As a member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, Daines was instrumental in securing the funding.

Daines has been active in pushing for Montana’s priorities for air travel and infrastructure. In 2019 alone, Daines has secured over $73 million dollars for Montana’s airports and air travel infrastructure in 2019.
On July 29th, 2019 Daines announced that $3,563,796 will be directed towards strengthening Montana’s air travel infrastructure in Billings and Miles City.
On July 9th, 2019 Daines announced that $47,798,711 will be directed towards strengthening Montana’s air travel infrastructure.
On July 2nd, 2019 Daines announced over $9 million in funding for Glacier Park and Missoula International Airports
On June 24th, 2019 Daines announced over $8 Million in funding for Montana airports
