U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today pushed Mr. James E. Hubbard, nominee to be the next Agriculture Undersecretary of Natural Resources and Environment, to commit to addressing the barriers to forest management. If confirmed, Mr. Hubbard would oversee the U.S. Forest Service.

And while recent legislation included good reforms, I want to say very clearly that Congress should and must do much, much, much more.”
Background:
On July 12 Daines met with Mr. Hubbard. Mr Hubbard has robust experience as a State Forester and with the Forest Service, and he committed to restoring active forest management during both the meeting and the hearing.
