U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works Chairman, John Barrasso (R-WY), will speak at the 2018 Montana Energy Summit.
“I want to thank Senator Daines for inviting me to be a part of this important energy summit,” said Barrasso. “Wyoming and Montana have led the way with the responsible development of our energy and natural resources. I look forward to discussing ways to maintain American energy dominance while increasing jobs across the West.”
“I am excited to welcome Senator Barrasso to Billings for the 2018 Montana Energy Summit,” said Daines. “As a fellow Westerner, Senator Barrasso understands the importance of high-paying jobs for hardworking folks, and that’s what Montana energy is all about. I look forward to hearing from him on how we can more fully unlock Montana’s energy potential.”
The Summit, co-sponsored by Daines, will take place in Billings on May 30th and 31st. The Montana Energy Summit serves as an opportunity to bring the nation’s energy business leaders to Billings. The Summit will highlight Montana’s growing energy sector, the jobs Montana energy will create and how to unlock Montana’s energy potential.
Barrasso chairs the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Additionally, he serves on the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Public Lands and Forests. Previously, Barrasso served as Chairman of the Senate Western Caucus, where Daines currently serves as Chairman.
