U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that Montana’s Speaker of the House Austin Knudsen and Montana State Auditor Matt Rosendale endorsed Judge Neil Gorsuch to be the next U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice.
“Our nation needs a strong, principled constitutionalist on our Supreme Court and I have been exceedingly impressed by Judge Gorsuch,” Knudsen stated. “I want to thank Senator Daines for his leadership on this confirmation and hope that the Senate will soon move to make Judge Gorsuch our next Supreme Court Justice.”
“Neil Gorsuch has shown throughout his career that he is a principled judge who understands that the proper role of the judicial branch is to interpret the law, not write the law,” Rosendale stated. “Our country would be well-served with more judges like Neil Gorsuch, and I urge the Senate to swiftly confirm him so he can get to work on the Supreme Court.”
