U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm President Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), U.S. Representative Tom Price.
“Secretary Price will reshape healthcare delivery for the American people by upholding the promise to repeal and replace Obamacare,” Daines stated. “I’m excited to once again have a doctor and strong leader running the Department of Health and Human Services.”
Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance Matt Rosendale: “We need real reforms to lower the outrageous health care and insurance costs facing Montanans,” Rosendale said. “I look forward to working with Secretary Price and Senator Daines to get costs under control, protect rural health care access, and give Montanans more options to affordably meet their individual needs.”
Immediately following Price’s confirmation, Daines invited Price to Montana to meet with “rural health providers to discuss the many health issues important to Montanans.”
